Planning 1.0

I've just closed the last 1.0 blocker ticket except for #73 (closed).

I think I would like to release the tree as 0.14 (calling that a 1.0 preview), leave it a month or two to see if anything comes up, and then declare 1.0.

@nickm, does that seem sensible?

(If I feel like doing some hacking I might want to invent a "beta" or "experimental" status for features. Eg I have some ideas for some of #48, #40, #36. But that's not really related.)
