I have had Tor Browser previous versions tar.xz file on my computer, I deleted 8.5.4 version folder and extracted previous version (5.5.2) and it worked properly.
But after automatic update, it did not started again. So I deleted "tor-browser_en-US" folder and extracted it again from tor-browser-linux64-5.5.2_en-US.tar.xz file. But it did not started!!
I have to use another previous version, i.e. 5.5.4, and after automatic update to 8.5.4 version it did not started again and I have to use another previous version, i.e. 6.0, so I disabled automatic update of tor to work around the problem. Who can find the reason of this problem and guide me to solve it?

Lately (and more often than before), I have a tremendous difficulty to pass any Google CAPTCHAs. I tested a version of Firefox on a torified VM to observe if this related to Tor or to the Tor Browser and it seems to be the latter, as I can pass Google CAPTCHAs even with the first try. To further to test this I used all different variations of Tor Browser's security levels and NoScript privileges, I even disabled NoScript but still CAPTCHAs were unsolvable or required a decent amount of tries. Anyone else experienced similar behavior?https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/applications/tor-browser/-/issues/31360TOR Freeze all computer2021-07-09T14:53:32ZTracTOR Freeze all computerHi,

Previously, when I visited the blog without logging on, it was counted as a unique visit each time.
But that is no longer the case.
How do I hide my ID from Wordpress again?

Steps:
- On Kitkat
- Open Tor Browser
- Click "Connect" to the Tor network (after a successful connection the Tor Browser opens automatically)
At this moment a popup dialog appears. I'm going to try and repeat this verbatim, the heading of the pop-up reads "Warning: Unresponsive script". The body of the dialog says:
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: moz-extension://5c52665b-1b57-...53/background-scripts/rules.js:323
END
The usual "Stop script" and "Continue" buttons.
While the dialogue is on the screen the Tor home screen/page can be seen in the background. It is basically appears that a page produced by the Tor team has some kind of error.
All versions of Tor Browser for Android that I've updated to have been presenting this dialog. I did not report it because I assumed that someone else would, but it seems that has not eventuated. I cannot remember if the first version (that worked on Kitkat) had this problem but definitely every other version has.

There appears to be a race condition when Tor Browser starts for the first time NoScript is most of the times (~8/10) blocking all scripts.
Since I run Tor Browser in so called "disposable VMs" (Qubes OS) where every Tor Browser start is as if it would start for the first time - this is a rather annoying issue.
To work around that I have to go to the NoScript settings after _every_ Tor Browser start and disable restrictions, with the latest Tor Browser version this has become more painful since the NoScript button is no longer displayed directly in the Browser bar.

In Mozilla Fireox, I had just done a search for a word using DuckDuckgo, and that word was still populated in that firefox search window.
When i clicked on an unrelated link using Tor to a "Matrix" download page, I noticed that my search term that I had left in the duckduckgo search window in Mozilla Firefox, was now written in the bottom of my Tor Browser window, below the Matrix item I had clicked on.
How did this cross-application leak occur between regular Firefox and TOR? The Matrix link was totally unrelated to any results of my duckduckgo search in Firefox.

The second pref disables the domain isolator, which makes sense since it expects SOCKS5 proxies, but mochitests override that. For the other pref, not sure why `network.file.path_blacklist` needs to be unset (at least for Linux).
We could put these prefs in `testing/marionette/prefs/marionette.js` so that tests can be run (unless there is a simpler way to get the tests tor run that I'm missing).Tor Browser: 10.5https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/applications/tor-browser/-/issues/30815Mouse scrolling bookmarks list from menu2022-02-03T19:04:14ZcypherpunksMouse scrolling bookmarks list from menuUsed to be able to use mouse-scroll to quickly scroll through the bookmarks.
