1. Download (stable) Tor Browser.
2. Download (alpha) Tor Browser.
3. Install (alpha) Tor Browser in the default location, uncheck both checkboxes and finish the installation.
5. Rename the (alpha) Tor Browser folder to `Tor Browser_alpha` to be able to distinguish both folders.
6. Install (stable) Tor Browser in the default location, uncheck both checkboxes and finish the installation.
7. Start (alpha) Tor Browser by going in the `Tor Browser_alpha` folder and click `Start Tor Browser`.
8. Set a bridge in the (alpha) Tor Browser interface or do some other modifications through (alpha) Tor Browser that will get written in the `torrc`.
9. Close (alpha) Tor Browser and check both `torrc`s.
(Alpha) Tor Browser wrote your modifications to the `torrc` in the (stable) `Tor Browser` folder instead of his own `torrc` in the `Tor Browser_alpha` folder and both Tor Browsers will now use the same `torrc` until you move (stable) `Tor Browser` folder to another location.https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/community/relays/-/issues/40AuthDirRejectCCs ru2022-06-03T22:54:26ZcypherpunksAuthDirRejectCCs ruThey signals to the censor.They signals to the censor.https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/anti-censorship/pluggable-transports/snowflake/-/issues/40101Failures at standalone proxy2023-05-16T20:13:44ZCecylia BocovichFailures at standalone proxyWe got the following error log from a proxy volunteer:

https://community.torproject.org/relay/setup/bridge/debian-ubuntu/
When I hit this step:
`systemctl enable --now tor@default`
I'll get this:
```
The unit files have no installation config (WantedBy=, RequiredBy=, Also=,
Alias= settings in the [Install] section, and DefaultInstance= for template
units). This means they are not meant to be enabled using systemctl.
Possible reasons for having this kind of units are:
• A unit may be statically enabled by being symlinked from another unit's
.wants/ or .requires/ directory.
• A unit's purpose may be to act as a helper for some other unit which has
a requirement dependency on it.
• A unit may be started when needed via activation (socket, path, timer,
D-Bus, udev, scripted systemctl call, ...).
• In case of template units, the unit is meant to be enabled with some
instance name specified.
Job for tor@default.service failed because the control process exited with error code.
See "systemctl status tor@default.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
```
I'm using a generic Ubuntu 20.04 instance on EC2/AWS.
Indeed the error message seems correct. It seems I need to manually edit:
`/lib/systemd/system/tor@default.service` which is missing the [Install] section at the bottom.
After adding:
```
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
```
To the bottom of `tor@default.service` unit file, it fixes the issue of me running, `systemctl enable --now tor@default`.
But my main question is, should this unit file be manually updated? or is the install doc missing a step? or is something else going wrong?

Since some time ago, whenever I start Tor Browser, it shows the "Always connect automatically" check box but does not connect. I try new identities and new circuits but it does not connect.
If I close and restart Tor Browser twice or three times, it finally connects.
Just when I launched Tor browser to report this, it said it had installed the latest updates so maybe it is fixed in 11.0.3.
Earlier versions without the new interface usually established the connection without problems.
It seems that the startup of the TOR infrastructure takes more time than the browser can take or there is some problem in startup. The browser offers no diagnostic why it can't connect or at least it is not reflected on the interface.

I first tried with TPO debian repo and installed it with apt.
Included `%include /etc/tor/torrc.d` to /etc/tor/torrc. Starting and restarting did work and include the files, but reloading makes tor fail with the same message from building tor from source (https://www.torproject.org/download/tor/)

If you open the job you...There is a new error in town, and it is jenkins complaining it cannot build the 'old website':
`[jenkins] website-build-webwml#8911: Still Failing: https://jenkins.torproject.org/job/website-build-webwml/8911/
`
If you open the job you can see that the build breaks because of:

I am not sure that we need to run it so often, now that it is not having any new content.
But if we do, we should change the reference. Thus, we'd like to have a machine (or maybe we need two different ones) where we can run two non-exit relays on. @dgoulet and @gk should have access to those (or maybe something like network-health group where both of us belong to might make more sense, dunno).
@dgoulet will provide some specs, so we can get that task actually going. :)anarcatanarcathttps://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/ux/design/-/issues/29Tracing on Tor Browser's application icon is not continuous and path is broke...2023-06-28T14:19:56ZirelativismTracing on Tor Browser's application icon is not continuous and path is broken upThe tracing of the path on the main TorBrowser logo is not a continuos path
