Others, such as Socks/Trans/NATD/DNSPort, do not.
It would be great to split up the client-only section into those options that truly only work for clients, and those that also affect the behaviour of hidden services (and bridge relays, and relays, and authorities).
For example, when a bridge relay builds an anonymous 3-hop path to submit its descriptor, it is likely affected by all the client options that affect node selection. (Unless we specifically disable them for servers.)
And a hidden service's paths are affected by these same options.Tor: unspecifiedhttps://gitlab.torproject.org/legacy/trac/-/issues/19440Correct the french version of the short user manual2020-06-13T17:33:14ZTracCorrect the french version of the short user manualThe french version of the short user manual have some french mistakes.

It may sound trivial to even mention port choice. For the "average" user though, it could be unclear that certain ports are less suitable for anonymous communication. As exit nodes block certain ports, poor port choice for outgoing mail can narrow down the number of available exits.
The addition could be something like:
Port Choice and TorBirdy
Exit nodes allow or refuse certain ports in order to minimize abuse. Your port choice for outgoing mail could indirectly narrow down the number of available exits to communicate with your mail service provider and hurt your anonymity. Good port choices for outgoing mail are: xyz.
And then list some ports for outgoing email on IMAP/POP servers, that work well with the Tor infrastructure.Sukhbir SinghSukhbir Singh
