a particular prefix (ie tor:// or tors://), or to add the ability to specify certain bookmarks
are Tor-only.
The latter feature seems much more interesting, but I'm not sure if the bookmarks engine allows
you to add on extra fields. Perhaps both features need to be implemented in tandem, so users
can then just bookmark tor:// urls.
The extension possibly should ask for confirmation also. Not sure I like the idea of tor state
sometimes magically toggling on just because a website had an img src="tor://" in there or something.

Currently, the "Tor enabled" status just means that Torbutton has configured the proxy settings

Currently, the "Tor enabled" status just means that Torbutton has configured the proxy settings
the way it thinks they should be in order to connect to Tor/Privoxy if they happen to be running.
"Tor enabled" should really mean that Torbutton knows that Tor is running and has successfully
built circuits.

of just blocking referrer all together (which is disabled by default because some sites refuse to serve
images/media with no referer). The RefSpoof extension has a mode to set the referrer to the document root
of a site. This code may be useful to assimilate, or we can just encourage people to install that extension
if the default behavior doesn't work for them. It is possible this "set to root" site will still break
sites that expect image refs to come from other paths on the site only... In this case, refspoof's
complete functionality may be a good idea.

torbutton should stirp out node.exit from the HTTP headers of requests. This is probably possible,
but I have no idea what interface it would be. Since polipo doesn't want to modify http headers,
and since they can't for ssl even if they wanted to, this probably falls in torbutton's lap. But
since privoxy does it currently, it is not a high priority item.
