TorBirdy's interaction with Enigmail makes it such that Thunderbird cannot do any Enigmail-based functionality (decrypting, encrypting emails, viewing keyring, etc). Split-gpg continues to work fine outside Thunderbird.
I don't know if 0.2.3 includes assumptions about where gpg is? Or disabling Memory Hole doesn't bring Enigmail back to its previous state? In split-gpg the default gpg location is replaced with `/usr/bin/qubes-gpg-client-wrapper`. You can read more info about split-gpg here: https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/split-gpg/
In addition, on Fedora 25 I am unable to disable TorBirdy successfully, it crashes Thunderbird, and on re-starting Thunderbird TorBirdy is again enabled (and saying it will disable on re-start). That loop continues forever.
Disabling it in Thunderbird on Debian 9 works fine.

I was running Orbot through a vpn and using fire.onion and it used to work but now usually it will say not connected to tor when I check it at check.torproject.org. And sometimes it will be sending and receiving but usually everything is at 0. So I downloaded Orfox and tried running Orbot, and it says connected to Tor when I check it, although it still isn't showing much sending or receiving activity. And in the first few minutes that I check if I'm connected at check.torproject.org, it always shows my original IP address despite saying I'm connected and despite when I look up my ip address elsewhere i see the ip address of my vpn.
Yesterday when I was looking at the Orbot app, the onion icon was flipping on and off on its own and it kept doing this. Also Orbot started up by itself this morning. So I unselected allow background starts, although it should not be doing this even with it selected bc I dont run other apps through it (other than fire.onion and orfox), and I had choose for it to run for all apps at start-up. My email address is lilypatterson47@gmail.com if you have any questions or answers. Thanks

When enabling transparent proxying via Orbot, the mmsservice can not be saved unselected. It's possible that it's simply dependent on something else, since I have selected all but a few apps/services. But which one should I de-select? Is this intended behavior? Or a weird little bug?
The result is that MMS does not work on my phone until I turn off transparent proxying. Annoying, but not crippling.

## Steps to Reproduce
1. Enable llvmpipe in Replicant. Instructions for this are at https://redmine.replicant.us/projects/replicant/wiki/Graphics#Enabling-llvmpipe-as-software-renderer .
2. Run Orbot.
## Expected Results
Orbot should display normally.
## Observed Results
Orbot only renders a black screen. The context menu provided by the hardware "Settings" button does display properly, as do the "QR Codes" and "About" dialogs available from that context menu. Orbot's non-graphical functionality seems to be working fine. Orbot seems to be able to read the touchscreen fine (I'm able to start/stop Tor by clicking blindly).
## Other Notes
Compatibility with llvmpipe is important because llvmpipe is the only renderer available on Replicant that runs Orfox properly; Orfox (like all other Fennec-based apps) crashes with the default Android software renderer. So, right now, in order to change Orbot settings, I need to disable llvmpipe and reboot the phone, change the Orbot settings, and then re-enable llvmpipe and reboot the phone again before I can resume using Orfox.Nathan FreitasNathan Freitashttps://gitlab.torproject.org/legacy/trac/-/issues/22418Orbot don't start2020-06-13T06:23:57ZTracOrbot don't startHi!

This seems to bypass the two primary reasons for not using Tor with Bittorrent: (1) the client software is specifically designed to work with Tor, reducing the risk of leaking one's IP address (the torrent peers appear to be .onion addresses rather than IP addresses); and (2) the amount of data being transferred is more comparable to ordinary web browsing than to the multi-gigabyte files typical of Bittorrent usage, reducing the burden imposed on the network.
It therefore _seems_ from a lay perspective as though this is an exception to the usual principle against using Bittorrent with Tor, but there may be further issues that are not immediately apparent. It would be much appreciated if someone with relevant expertise could weigh in.

Either set DirCache automatically depending on the given configuration options or add a GUI option with a default of 0.
Note that most users of orbot will probably not thoroughly read the orbot man page, have a look at the source code and then use the custom torrc option, thus superfluous data will be downloaded which is not so nice with a mobile data plan.

For example FreedomPop zero-rates WhatsApp (https://9to5mac.com/2016/08/17/freedompop-whatsapp-sim-free-iphone/) in 30 countries on a free ($0/month) plan.
A WhatsApp plugable transport would therefor allow users in poverty-stricken, massively oppressed countries to have unlimited free access to information through Tor.
I'm not sure if the component should be Orbot or Tor; the WhatsApp example is for mobile but there is also zero-rating for house internet, or someone might want to use a WhatsApp PT on a desktop/laptop/notebook with conventional Tor, tethered to a smartphone for the zero-rated protocol.cypherpunkscypherpunkshttps://gitlab.torproject.org/legacy/trac/-/issues/21436fteproxy does not work on Debian stretch / document fteproxy usage on Debian ...2020-06-13T06:03:15Zadrelanosfteproxy does not work on Debian stretch / document fteproxy usage on Debian stretchUsing fteproxy on Debian stretch isn't straight easy. Whenever Thunderbird restarts, TorBirdy resets the values for header_type and what type format to view emails, irrespective of user preference.
# Description
Something I noticed quickly after using TorBirdy is that it changes two settings forcibly whenever Thunderbird starts. The two settings I always change back after Thunderbird restarts are:
* _View > Message Body As… > Original HTML_: While I am aware there are potential security risks by enabling this, I prefer to view emails with the original HTML and subjectively choose to change this setting for a specific email as needed.
* _mailnews.reply_header_type_: After restarting, the value is adjusted to **1** from the default, **2**. I prefer to have the full reply header type when I reply to emails.
While I respect the reasons the TorBirdy developers have for changing these settings, it's annoying for me as the user to have my preferences overruled every time Thunderbird restarts, and then I have to go and change this manually every time it restarts.
# Implementation
1. Start Thunderbird
2. User changes settings from default TorBirdy configuration, e.g. message body type and reply_header_type
3. User closes Thunderbird
4. User restarts Thunderbird, adjustments to settings preserved
