Argue about which git-based blog-system to use

If we're going to replace our blog, replace it with something with version control, easy-to-submit/write interface for non-tech people, event calendar, and integration with Discourse.

The various options are:

  1. Pelican: http://docs.getpelican.com/en/3.3.0/
  2. Jekyll: http://jekyllrb.com/
  3. Hakyll: http://jaspervdj.be/hakyll/
  4. Ikiwiki: http://ikiwiki.info/
  5. Octopress: http://octopress.org/
  6. meta-static-generator list: http://staticsitegenerators.net/
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
