Polipo 1.0.4 crashes when visiting www.juno.com and attempting to log in for mail account. We also use Privoxy 3.0.12 uptream for Polipo. System is Slackware 11.0. Browser is Dillo and probably Firefox browser, from others on my home lan. Had to remove /var/run/polipo/polipo.pid and restart polipo. Here is a snip from my /var/log/polipo file with probably 3 instances of crash:
