change tor exit node when connecting to different mail servers

I would like to be able to check multiple email accounts in thunderbird, without my requests originating from the same tor exit node.

The solution to this (I think?) would be for thunderbird/torbirdy to pause when the user attempts to access a different server from the current one, signal tor to build a new circuit, wait for success, then return control to tbird to enable connection to continue.

Is this possible or is there another solution for my use case?

Thanks in advance.
