Performing an empty search causes UI to become unresponsive
Pressing [Enter] in the search box while it is empty causes the page to blank except for the header and footer, internal links in the header and footer are unresponsive when this happens.
This was observed with Firefox ESR 45.0.2 on Debian stretch.
