Using a VPN with Tor

Hello Tor Team!

I happen to be a mod on reddit.com/r/deepweb

Our community and also other Tor related communities on reddit are going crazy with recommending VPNs to be used with Tor. I would love some "officials" to refute/confirm a few things so i can point to here in future.

  • Do you recommend using a VPN? (any good reasons?)
  • Do you think a VPN would ad additional anonymity/security in opposite to just using bridges to hide their Tor usage from the ISP?
  • Do you agree that it would be possible for a VPN provider to redirect traffic to a own entry node that will then log the actual tor activity?

Many thanks in advance.
