Download updates in the background.
Follow on from #20778 (closed). Now that update checks are done in the background, downloads should be done in the background as well. This should be fairly straight forward to do, depending on how much user feedback needs to be visible.
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
