Data is incorrectly stored on disk in wrong place

When using TBB (tor-browser-gnu-linux-x86_64-1.0.17-dev-en-US.tar.gz) on Ubuntu Maverick, I have data stored in tor-browser_en-US, rather than in tor-browser_en-US/Data/ as expected.

In tor-browser_en-US, I see '.pulse-cookie' and '.mozilla' when I expect to see nothing in the top level directory.

This is odd and the contents of the files are also odd.

As an example, I see 'tor-browser_en-US/.mozilla/extensions/{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}/https-everywhere@eff.org/svn-commit.tmp' - why is that in there?

I'd like to see all data inside of Data/ to ensure that any writes that happens out of that directory are caught as the bugs they appear to be.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
