right click does not work on 'insecure connection' web pages

Some (many?) web pages give the 'insecure connection' message (meaning, the pages have a mix of secure and insecure frames?). The right click does not work in Windows (seems to work in OSX). I've seen some Firefox complaints about this, but no useful answer. (The Firefox complaints were that right-click didn't work at all, but it works on secure pages; on insecure connection pages, no right-click, so no spelling correction, no opening articles in new tab). This happens on Yahoo and Independent.co.uk
