Exiting private browsing mode in Firefox 4 reloads pages loaded with tor, even if tor is disabled

To reproduce the bug:

  • Enable tor and load a URL of choice.
  • Disable tor (but leave the page open) and enter Private Browsing Mode.
  • Exit Private Browsing Mode.
  • The URL accessed via tor will reload, even though tor is now disabled.

Obviously this has various implications for information leakage. The message about tor blocking activity loaded in another state no longer appears when entering/exiting Private Browsing Mode with tor-loaded URLs open - I suspect it is something to do with this, but am not familiar with the codebase so it's probably not a good idea for to draw conclusions purely based on that.
