OFTC's staff still gets around one email per week from people seeking Tor help. We try to redirect them to torproject.org, but ideally, people wouldn't contact us in the first place.
It's unclear where they get the email address from. In the past, the old Tor website didn't have any contact info, and merely linked to OFTC, so people got it from our website. The new website doesn't have any email addresses either (I was looking for about a minute), and the OFTC link is much better as it links to the webchat:
https://support.torproject.org/get-in-touch/ has a link to https://webchat.oftc.net/ with instructions to type "#tor". This could be improved by putting the channel name into the link:
https://webchat.oftc.net/?channels=tor
