Enabling issues in helper-scripts repo in Gitlab is broken

We have a https://gitlab.torproject.org/torproject/network-health/helper-scripts repo in our Gitlab instance which has issues disabled.

I want to enable them by clicking on the Gear icon -> General -> Visibility, project features, permissions EXPAND -> Move the issues slider so issues are enabled (it does not matter whether it's for members only or for everyone who has access) -> Save changes.

This results in the non-descriptive "Something went wrong on our end." and issues are not enabled.

I remember that I got enabled issues for other repos previously when using the "old" dip the way I tried above.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
