Torbutton does nothing when clicked

I am using Torbutton 1.4 with Firefox 5.0 on Ubuntu 11.04.

Torbutton seems to have stopped working, however I can not say with certainty if this happened during the upgrade to FF 5.0 as I dont use it that often. I remember it definitely working with FF 4 though.

Clicking the Torbutton seems to do nothing, the icon doesnt turn green and the button itself doesn't even buldge when clicked. The strange thing is that when I go into the extension settings and click the test button there, the button turns green for a few seconds and the test succeeds, so it doesnt seem to be a problem with tor itself.

I have already tried reinstalling the extension and disabling all other FF extensions.
