Vidalia status bar stops but Tor runs
I'm running Ubuntu natty. I just switched from the bundled version to the torproject version 0.2.2.35-1~natty+1 and Vidalia 0.2.15.
When I run Vidalia the status bar has the orange fillin stop at only about 10% of the way. However, tor is running and seems to be ok. The advanced log says
[Notice] Tor has successfully opened a circuit. Looks like client functionality is working. [Notice] Bootstrapped 100%: Done.
It's not clear to me why Vidalia doesn't finish. When I was running the bundled tor/vidalia it did.
