Tor VPN mode feature

VPNs vs Tor. Both have advantages and disadvantages. A lot people combine both methods to reduce risks for leaks.

VPNs

  • easy to set up
  • route all traffic through Tor
  • no DNS leaks
  • less anonymous than Tor

Tor

  • requires correct proxy settings
  • in past there have been lots of leaks due to configuration mistakes or application bugs
  • if used correctly: more anonymous

Can't we combine all advantages? I am proposing a Tor VPN mode.

Once activated, Tor acts as a local VPN-like client and internally redirects all traffic though Tor.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
