While investigating #7821 (closed) I found that coverage froze the test run. This might be from coverage being out of date or a stem bug that has since been fixed so just a potential hiccup to keep in mind.

Does coverage work with python3? We should keep in mind how 'runRests.py --unit --python3 --coverage' will behave.
