When I click on a link, Firefox 17.0.5 crashes

I was browsing the page http://www.gocomics.com/bobgorrell/2013/05/09 This page has a link. Context: "Study by Harvard researchers suggests the recent slowdown in health care spending doesn’t just reflect temporary economic weakness, but also structural shifts in how health care is delivered and financed — possibly attributable to the Affordable Care Act — and thus might be a harbinger of a longer-term trend. link here"

The link is to http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2013/05/health-care-spending-growth-may-have-slowed-permanently----with-huge-implications-for-the-economy-an.php?ref=fpb

If I paste the link into Firefox, the page loads.

If I click on the link on the page http://www.gocomics.com/bobgorrell/2013/05, Firefox crashes.

If I click the link in Firefox 17.0.4, the page loads.

But everytime I click the link in Firefox 17.0.5, Firefox crashes.

This happens in Mac OSX 10.6.8 64 bit and in Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
