Linux TBB freezes often with 100% CPU usage

I am using the Linux 32-bit build of TBB 2.3.25-8.

Firstly, the browser itself takes several seconds to start (not Vidalia though), all the while consuming 100% of CPU.

Then, while browsing different websites, the browser UI often freezes for seconds with 100% CPU usage. It is very painful to use.

In contrast, the Windows 32-bit build running in VirtualBox does not have this problem.

Quite a shame.
