Tor Button fails to mask IP in "Shields UP" check
I installed tor button from the Mozilla website, enabled it leaving all settings to defaults and went to Shields Up to check it out. My IP address was the same as before I installed it. Talk about a false sense of security.
Why doesn't tor button check to see if its actually working and warn if it isn't instead of letting the user be rudely surprised when they check for themselves, or worse, if they don't check for themselves...
FWIW I'm a newbie so the prob may be between my ears, I guess I naively expected it to work when it said it was enabled and didn't complain otherwise.
