Alexander Færøy2013 System Infrastructure Upgrade Project
Overview
The Tor computing infrastructure currently exists on a handful of physical machines located in the USA and Germany. These machines were acquired through donations and purchases over the past six years. They are showing their age. We have a number of virtual machines located in Iceland. We have a small set of dedicated servers we rent monthly located in Germany. This infrastructure has grown organically.
Proposal
The proposed plan is to use a private cloud solution by our current provider.
Timeline
The final deployment date of the new cluster is TBD based on the provider. Current estimate is April 2014 for production-ready. Working backwards this means a series of deadlines for each ticket:
