      Bug 31584: Clean up mingw-w64 project · 67a38dec
      Georg Koppen authored
We bump the GCC version to a supported one (9.2.0). The obvious choice
would have been 8.3.0 as we use for our Linux bundles. But, alas, that
one is crashing when cross-compiling Rust for 64bit Windows.

Bug 29731: Remove faketime for Windows builds · dd007eb1
      Georg Koppen authored
We link with `--no-insert-timestamp` when cross-compiling for Windows.
This should make using `faketime` obsolete when building tor. It seems
Rust does not like faking time and frequently hangs while compiling in
      that case.

Bug 28260: Use Rust 1.28.0 to build Tor · 0a633e62
      boklm authored
As rbm currently does not do deep merge of options hashes (bug 26185) we
cannot modify var/* options from the input_files section (or we lose all
the other var/* options). As a workaround we move the two options we
need to modify under input_file_var/ instead of var/.

Bug 25485: Fix libstdc++.so.6 compatibility for Tor Browser · 6a89049c
      Sukhbir Singh authored
We ship our version of libstdc++.so.6 for backward compatibility of Tor
Browser on older systems like Ubuntu 16.04. However, a newer version of
the library may be installed on the user's system and we should detect
and use that. This commit adds support for detecting the library using a
C++ program that uses the latest ABI; if the program executes, we should
use the system library, and if not (for the older systems), we add our
      libstdc++.so.6 to LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

Bug 26057: make it easy to see commit used in nightly builds · 78ab93d7
      boklm authored
In order to make it easy to see which commit was used, we include the
abbreviated commit hash in the filename of all components that are based
on master in the nightly build. To do that, we set git_hash to master,
and version (which is included in the filename) to '[% c("abbrev") %]".
