mullvad.net in browser services (DNS, updater, etc.) is blocked in some regions

We've had a request to use a different domain than mullvad.net for services and updater, since "domains of all VPN providers all blocked in some countries like China, Russia, and Iran".

Consequently, we are thinking about registering another domain for that purpose. For a future migration, would it be possible for the browser to check two separate domains for some time?
