Currently we are hosting some of the dependencies we use for building Tor Browser on people.torproject.org. However people.torproject.org is just one host, and it is sometimes down.
I think we could maybe move those files to extra.torproject.org, dist.torproject.org, or ask tpa to create a new hostname for those files.
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information

i have no recollection of working on this, but i see a lot of tickets in a day, so i might have forgotten. typically, what i know is in the wiki though, so it would be in the service list, presumably
We would like to start hosting the already-built offline manual for #34451 (closed) in the same way we do for some build dependencies.
However, I'd prefer not using people.tpo for the above reason and also because I do not like having "personal" URLs for this.
Has something changed in the last months regarding having a service for this?
We also have the .tbb.torproject.org, we could also create a new subdomain, like we have for the test-data (something like build-data.tbb.torproject.org?).
There is a build break triggered by this issue: #40789 (closed)
I suggest that we create a "get file by hash" service and share it among all teams. A download link would look like "https://getfilebyhash.torproject.net/sha256/XXXXXXXX/123.tar.gz". It would be possible to use CDN to cache the content and avoid most of the synchronization issue.
I think a simple solution to avoid issues like #40789 (closed) is to use some shared account (instead of personal accounts) to host the files on people.tpo.
