Backport Mozilla Bug 1769631 to unblock Python 3.11 users

Backport this patch: https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-esr102/rev/1345ee1bfd75

We should get it for free in 102.8 but in the meantime Debian users are sad.
