DuckDuckGo Onion search does not prioritize HTML version from home page search bar on Safest level

With Tor Browser on Safest level, and setting "DuckDuckGo (.onion)" as the default (in browser settings) and enabling "Onionize" (in home page), the results are:

From the search bar: [DDG-onion-site].onion/?q=search+bar

From the address bar: [DDG-onion-site].onion/html?q=search+bar

The address bar automatically visits the HTML version on Safest level, but from the search bar it always needs a redirect first.
