Signal style "Screen Security" for Windows 11 Recall protection

Signal has announced a new windows feature "Screen security" which apparently enables a DRM feature so the screen cannot be recorded or screen captured so as to protect it from the now apparent mandatory windows recall rollout (screen shots every few seconds then fed into an AI).

  • look for a bit on 22.05.2025 and couldn't find the commit for it or reference to it in the code yet
• find out if mozilla has a issue for this
  • 22.05.2025: looked at bugzilla for a minute and couldn't find any tracking for this issue yet there either

we should figure out how to implement this and do so, either borrowing from signal, or using what mozilla will do if they are doing so timely. or doing ourselves and trying to uplift
