#44361 (closed) shouldn't have any effect on the alpha channel, but it means that we have the strings available for translation. We should backport this when we want to show the banner.

@pierov and @morgan given that we want some time for translators to work on this, which version 15 release should this go into?

We also might want to update the support page by the same deadline. See #44361 (comment 3398899).
