Start and end points in circuit diagrams don't make sense

The circuit card design shows a 'This device >>> This app' See screenshot/design below. A user complained that it wasn't obvious to them what happens or how it worked. In Tor browser things go from This browser showing the circuit, and up at the destination. See second picture.

It all makes sense to me, since you're going through a secondary app (the VPN/device), but they disagreed. I asked if it would make sense to change This device to Tor VPN - but maybe that question is more apt to ask here.
