Application icon cloaking for Tor VPN

It was reported by folks collaborating with individuals working in Myanmar that having a VPN on your phone can be problematic. With the criminalization of VPN use and regular, random checkpoints, your phone can be searched and confiscated. Individuals have indicated that they have an endless cycle of downloading-deleting VPNs so that when they leave the house, they don't> have any incriminating apps on their phones.

People being afraid of being found with a VPN or other circumvention tools is a pretty compelling case for masking or camouflaging the application. This would be providing the user the ability to replace the app icon with some kind of benign icon (eg. a calculator). Tella offers this as an example.
