At the moment, once we start publishing a locale, we publish all translations to that language, even the ones that have not been reviewed.
We currently provide two branches per resource:
- $project
- $project_completed
To solve this, we will publish another branch: **$project_release** with only reviewed translations. This new branch with have a different configuration on majus, and will only refresh reviewed translations.
We can then hook our scripts to this new branch, and only reviewed translations will make it to the website.
This will momentarily result in the loss of translations, because we are showing many unreviewed translations at the moment.
- [ ] Create branches in majus and push to repo
- [ ] Change documentation
- [ ] Spread information about the changes to all stakeholders for they to adopt the new branchesemmapeelemmapeelhttps://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/community/l10n/-/issues/40101Get the automatic subtitles from our Youtube videos, edit the english subs, a...2023-09-27T15:19:23ZemmapeelGet the automatic subtitles from our Youtube videos, edit the english subs, and put them up for translationSeveral videos we produced are interesting to stop misinformation and get more people to learn about different aspects in Tor when they hear about it for the first time.

We should get the different automatic subtitles and fix errors, and add them for translation in weblate.
It seems there are different ways of editing subtitles in youtube: https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-create-edit-youtube-subtitles/emmapeelemmapeelhttps://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/community/l10n/-/issues/40133Separate translation contributions per person in the commits, just in case2024-02-13T13:27:07ZemmapeelSeparate translation contributions per person in the commits, just in caseWatching the video at https://fosdem.org/2024/schedule/event/fosdem-2024-1906-lessons-learnt-as-a-translation-contributor-the-past-4-years/ I think I need to change the configuration of our components in weblate.

To save space, and because I can see this information in weblate if I need it, I was squashing translators contributions in weblate all together in one commit. But if a translator would want to remove its contributions, it will be a very difficult thing to do. So it is better to separate the contributions and have one commit per person.emmapeelemmapeel
