Multi-tor instances?
To mitigate the risk of Sybil attacks, there is a network restriction limiting the number of relays to a maximum of 8 per IPv4 address. If you want to run more than 8 relays, you will need to buy a new IPv4 address. (IPv6-only relays is not possible as it will split the network with relays who can communicate with ipv6 and relays who can't.)
Because Tor does not scale well on multi-core CPU's, relay operators often run multiple Tor instances to fully use their hardware and network bandwidth.
Currently, we are running a single Tor instance. Should we consider increasing the number of instances to maximize link saturation? We have CPU and memory resources available.
