Increased Logging of Tor Relay

As the Title states, when gathering the power consumption, we are trying to draw conclusions in whether the number of connections make a difference in power consumption. In order to make such conclusions I will need to increase the Tor Relay's logging of number of connections(also needs the timestamp). What is the best way of doing so, I have looked through the configuration options and I am unable to find a concrete answer.
