O5.1 Create a test network with authorities, middle nodes, and exit nodes
This ticket is a placeholder for all the tickets related to the activity 5.1 of objective 5 for project 141.
This Activity will take place at the beginning of the project, as the test network will be used across all Objectives to test, tune, and verify the work conducted. To create a test network, we will use virtual machines to deploy an entire Tor network using test versions of relays using iterative versions of Arti. We’ll also deploy test network support infrastructure, like the metrics pipeline, Prometheus, and log monitoring. This Activity will facilitate all other work in this project as well as the ability to collect information necessary for the Monitoring & Evaluation Plan.
Deliverable: Test network and test network support infrastructure.
- Estimation: 3 months for 1 person at 100% of their time
- Timeline: start on November 2024 and ends on December 2026
