Support ed25519 identities for circuit extension

Once legacy/trac#12498 (moved) is merged and legacy/trac#15055 (moved) is done, we can use ed25519 in circuit extension as documented in proposal 220.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
