Keep v2 onion addresses as redirects only
If v2 onion addresses are rendered meaningless, you're going to break lots of links in onionland and anger lots of people. In the clearnet, even basic http is still accessible for redirecting to https+TLS. Onion URLs won't simply need to change their scheme but their domain name. Imagine if the Internet was asked to change every domain name.
Months ago, you implemented a new header named Onion-Location
that was meant for clearnet pages to offer a redirect to an onion page. Could something like that or a new feature be invented that's configurable in torrc
to keep v2 onion addresses accessible as redirects to v3 addresses only?
