Win32 - duplicate state file created

Tor v0.1.2.17 under Win32 (maybe others?)

When using the DataDirectory setting in my torrc file (same setting as in Vidalia) a duplicate 'state' file is created in '%APPDATA%\tor', regardless of the setting. The rest of the files (cachedstatus, etc.) are saved to the specified directory along with another copy of the 'state' file.

Does the Vidalia setting take precedence over the torrc setting anyway?
