Applications run through torsocks can not open URLs in firefox

If I run applications through torsocks it's no longer possible to open urls in firefox, e.g.:
- Via
torsocks open https://torproject.org - Via
/url open <tab>in profanity - Via urlscan in neomutt
In the logs I saw the following:
