We're adding some new lines to the snowflake-stats document served at https://snowflake-broker.torproject.net/metrics for CollecTor:
"client-http-count" NUM NL
[At most once.]
A count of the number of times a client has requested a proxy using
the HTTP rendezvous method from the broker, rounded up to the nearest
multiple of 8.
"client-ampcache-count" NUM NL
[At most once.]
A count of the number of times a client has requested a proxy using
the ampcache rendezvous method from the broker, rounded up to the
nearest multiple of 8.
"client-sqs-count" NUM NL
[At most once.]
A count of the number of times a client has requested a proxy using
the sqs rendezvous method from the broker, rounded up to the nearest
multiple of 8.
Great. It seems we are already done here then, closing.
Yes these values make sense. I see the new lines on the 1st of February where they should be :)

We already deployed the change to output the new metrics lines to https://snowflake-broker.torproject.net/metrics
Will this cause problems with CollecTor? I can roll back the deployment if so.
I was thinking about that because we were starting to miss snowflake stats on 2024-01-31 but it seems they are back on CollecTor. So, whatever happened it was unrelated.
That said, looking at the latest snowflake metrics (2024-02-02) at https://collector.torproject.org/recent/snowflakes/ it seems your added stats are already included. It seems our code is smart enough to handle that. \o/
@cohosh: could you double-check whether what we have there on CollecTor makes sense? If so, we are done already. :)

@cohosh: Is that already happening or when is the collection of the new metrics on your side planned to get started? (I am just trying to figure out how far up we should put this ticket onto our queue)

The tag metrics-lib-2.24.0
would be for commit !19 (b1212247)
oh, well :) thanks!
Closes #40022
Superseded by !18 (merged), closing. I was pondering whether we should rename specExample190
to specExample180
as well but thought it might not be worth yet another fixup given that one could make the stretch argument that we mean software_version
here, which is luckily indeed 1.9.0.
