GitLab is used only for code review, issue tracking and project management. Canonical locations for source code are still https://gitweb.torproject.org/ https://git.torproject.org/ and git-rw.torproject.org.

Welcome to the OnionPerf wiki. This wiki is going to contain pages for:

  • Past experiments with configurations, applied patches, and links to data tarballs (after finding a good place to store and serve them).
  • Known mysteries for researchers to start digging deeper.
    • Public server measurements exhibiting 10-second timeout when reattaching a stream to another circuit (#31521)
    • Bimodal distribution of time to extend circuit to first relay: the reason is that OnionPerf does not use entry guards by default, so that most (but not all) connections to the first relay need to be established. (#34257)
    • Onion service measurements on 0.3.3.2-alpha or later impacted by circuits not being cannibalized anymore when not using entry guards (#34303)
  • Our setup for running long-running instances, based on README.md (not repeating things that are unchanged), listing all details for maintaining our services.
  • List of papers mentioning OnionPerf, together with a very short summary.
