Determine what to do about Work Item Statuses

The new GitLab update brought a new workflow called Work Item Status. I highly recommend that you watch this 6 minute walk-through video which describes what this is, how it works, and how to configure it.

At the moment, we are using labels to track workflow status, and the default Status options are configured. However, it would make sense to migrate from the labels to the workflow status system, but we will need to determine how we want to configure those Status items, and decide how we will migrate to them. At the moment, the only mechanism for migration is through bulk-edit of issues, which can be done, but there will be a new migration tool that will come later.

We have the possibility to disable the feature flag, if we need more time to plan our migration strategy, especially considering the Status Migration Wizard has been deferred.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
