GitLab is used only for code review, issue tracking and project management. Canonical locations for source code are still https://gitweb.torproject.org/ https://git.torproject.org/ and git-rw.torproject.org.

strict host checking prevents mirroring repositories on other services

Steps to reproduce:

  • Select a repository.
  • Head to Settings > Repository > Mirroring.
  • Try to mirror a repository on GitHub.
  • Be met with rejection.
