cupani running out of disk space
cupani is warning in Nagios, and has been for a long time, i think:
August 02 [1/1] nagios@hetzner-hel1-01.torproject.org ** PROBLEM Service Alert: cupani/disk usage on /srv is WARNING ** (nagios rapports tor)
July 21 [1/1] nagios@hetzner-hel1-01.torproject.org ** PROBLEM Service Alert: cupani/disk usage on /srv is WARNING ** (nagios rapports tor)
July 13 [1/1] nagios@hetzner-hel1-01.torproject.org ** RECOVERY Service Alert: cupani/disk usage on /srv is OK ** (nagios rapports tor)
July 10 [1/1] nagios@hetzner-hel1-01.torproject.org ** PROBLEM Service Alert: cupani/disk usage on /srv is WARNING ** (nagios rapports tor)
July 06 [1/1] nagios@hetzner-hel1-01.torproject.org ** RECOVERY Service Alert: cupani/disk usage on /srv is OK ** (nagios rapports tor)
2020-05-11 [1/1] nagios@hetzner-hel1-01.torproject.org ** PROBLEM Service Alert: cupani/disk usage on /srv is WARNING ** (nagios rapports tor)
2020-05-10 [1/1] nagios@hetzner-hel1-01.torproject.org ** PROBLEM Service Alert: cupani/disk usage on /srv is WARNING ** (nagios rapports tor)
2020-04-30 [1/1] nagios@hetzner-hel1-01.torproject.org ** PROBLEM Service Alert: cupani/disk usage on /srv is WARNING ** (nagios rapports tor)
basically it blinked below the warning threshold a few times, but otherwise has been warning since april 2020.
growth is pretty slow:
we were at 84% last year, so we gained 4% per year. there is, however, a dip in june, so maybe we're more about 8% per year.
of the 31GiB used, it looks like the user/
subdirectory is 23GiB, and out of that, it seems like most of the space is taken by tor-browser user clones, which are each 4GiB or so. this is something gitlab might actually handle better: gitaly probably deduplicates those repositories, if it's doing anything reasonable...
