BBB requires frequent login

Since the BBB server migration, many users (including myself) have experienced login unexpected login screens.

Steps to reproduce

  1. go to the BBB login page
  2. check the "remember me" checkbox
  3. enter your user and password
  4. login
  5. wait a while (a day, a week)
  6. try to visit the site again

What is the current bug behavior?

We frequently get logged in. Just this morning, I had a login screen while I am certain I was logged in yesterday. (On Mondays, I have typically 5 different meetings that I host in my own rooms, so I must be logged in.)

What is the expected correct behavior?

I was logged in yesterday, I shouldn't have to login again today.

I would argue that, as long as you visit the site on a regular basis, you shouldn't have to re-login. A logout after, say, a week of inactivity would be fine, but now it was less than 24h.

When did this start?

The previous server hosted at meet.coop did not exhibit this behavior, so this dates from the server migration (#41059 (closed)), around October 23rd 2025.

I haven't looked at the BBB configuration for this, I presume there's some setting that can be tweaked for this?
