Sacrifice some more cheese to the markdownlint deity 

markdownlint does not like GitLab's checkbox format in lists. If we
happen to have a link right at the start of the item it can go crazy
about "spaces in link". now why it's not doing this for line 27, too is
mind-boggling... but as long as it's happy.
