Get Bridges - User Research Plan
This is pilot research to understand how users under controlled networks connect to the Tor network using bridges and how it impacts the user experience when browsing using Tor Browser. The main goals are as following:
Understand pain-points during the current flow Learn about possible opportunities to educate users in context, about their current experience.
Audience: regular Tor users, new users, advanced users
Participants: 5 to 10
Recruitment: HK Group July 2020
Methodology: We will send a structured activity to the user group members. They will deliver back, and we will discuss the findings with the entire group during the workshop.
As pilot research, we will run remote structured user testing using [a clickable prototype? a current build? the current flow?]
- Find Tor Browser
- Install Tor Browser
- Connect to Tor
- Find bridges, Ask for bridges, Use bridges
- Get connected to Tor
User can find, download and install a legit Tor Browser; connect to Tor and browse the internet using Tor Browser + Bridge
